Nokia pushing reference design platform - report
"The first day of the 3GSM conference in Cannes has seen Nokia launch a reference design platform for Series 60 in conjunction with Texas Instruments. While this is a smart strategy to drive proliferation of Symbian devices, the best defence against Microsoft's ambitions in the mobile handset market, it comes at a cost. Nokia is cannibalising its own hardware margins in the long run."
