Mobile computing to generate $130 billion in wireless data revenues by 2009
"Mobile computing devices, including smartphones, PDA handhelds and notebooks, will generate more than $130bn in data access revenues by 2009, according to ARC Group's Future Mobile Computing 2004 report. More than 72% of this total will stem from cellular mobile (WWAN) access and, of this, some $34bn will be generated by notebook users accessing 3G and 2.5G WWAN services for the most part using plug-in PC data cards."
