Immersion's Touch Sensations Debut in Samsung Mobile Phone and in Downloadable Content from Verizon Wireless
"Immersion Corporation (Nasdaq:IMMR), a leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, today announced that the wireless industry's first VibeTonz-enabled mobile phone for the U.S. market, and VibeTonz-enhanced downloadable ringtones and games, are now available from Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ). Samsung (SOUTH KOREA:005930.KS), Immersion's first licensee of the VibeTonz System, manufactured the phone, the SCH-n330. The VibeTonz System, designed to be implemented on any mobile wireless technology platform, provides a full range of vibrations to enliven mobile phone content such as games and ringtones and various user interface features.
