December 21, 2005 - The evolution of the cellphone is fascinating -- from its introduction in the early eighties in cinder block-sized form to today's lightning fast, razor-thin handsets. The technology has become a permanent part of modern communication, used in every corner of the globe from Boston to Bombay. But while the cellphone still serves the primary purpose of voice communication, today's newer handsets also offer incredible new services and have rapidly become linked to the other communication marvel of the last decade: the internet.
