Where Is Google Games?
Google, they say, is everywhere. Maps, e-mail, calendars, video. But one lucrative market the search and advertising giant has so far failed to enter is video games. How lucrative? The entire games market, including console gaming, PC and online, was worth about $7 billion in 2005, according to the Entertainment Software Association. What's more, some analysts predict that market to experience almost 12 percent compound growth and grow to $46.5 billion by 2010. Wireless games for cell phones are expected to grow the fastest, expanding from a $646 million market last year to $2.3 billion by 2010.
