Interview with Mitch Lasky
June 26, 2006 - Last week, Electronic Arts senior vice president Mitch Lasky addressed attendees of the Harris Nesbitt Games Go Mobile Conference in New York City to confirm Will Wright's upcoming Spore is indeed headed to mobile, as well as discuss some of the mobile maker's new marketing initiatives. Many left the conference -- including those that spoke with IGN Wireless -- with the impression that EA Mobile was planning to release games outside the current carrier model. Apparently, this impression is incorrect, as EA Mobile has stated to IGN Wireless that there is no plan to circumvent the carriers to sell directly to consumers.
