Billions of Dollars Lost Through Mobile Data Revenue Leakage
The premium mobile content industry is incurring billions of dollars in lost revenue through insecure transaction processing, a problem that could reach more than $18 billion by 2009, according to a study authored by market strategy consultancy iGillottResearch. The study examines the mobile content market worldwide and finds that network operators will lose a staggering 18.3% of their total revenues in 2005, or more than $5.6 billion.

Telephia has reported that email, weather and search websites are the most popular categories among consumers logging online via their mobile phones. Hoy comienzan dos cursos de programación de Juegos en Universidad ORT del Uruguay
En la Universidad ORT del Uruguay comienzan hoy dos cursos de actualización profesional (4 meses) en áreas aplicadas a videojuegos. El curso de J2ME lo dicta Fernando Sansberro, fundador de Batovi Games Studio.

Programación de Videojuegos 3D (4 meses)
El curso capacita al alumno en la creación de juegos 3D utilizando el motor de juegos Blitz3D y lo introduce en el aprendizaje del modelado de escenarios y personajes 3D. Le permite crear una aplicación desde la concepción del juego y sus personajes, hasta la programación de la acción. Introduce en las técnicas de diseño de personajes y escenarios. Realiza la integración de los recursos visuales creados mediante la herramienta logrando un producto que puede ser utilizado en forma autónoma en plataformas PC.
